How it works
- Free plan — every school sends up to 500 messages a day free from the shared FAMNET WhatsApp number, with no character limit. If WhatsApp cannot deliver (number not on WhatsApp), the message falls back to SMS from your credit.
- Your own number (TZS 10,000/month) — messages go out from the school's own WhatsApp number, up to 2,000/day; parents recognise your number. Enter the mobile money number to charge and click Subscribe; then Connect my number opens a secure pairing page — on the school phone open WhatsApp → Linked devices → Link a device and scan the QR. The page updates automatically once linked. Renew each month with one tap; Unlink to stop.
The page shows messages left today and the subscription validity. Delivery of every message (WhatsApp or SMS) is in SMS › Delivery Reports.
Tick “This number is on WhatsApp” for the school mobile at registration/General Settings so FAMNET's own notices to the school also arrive free.
