Subjects: registering, assigning to classes, sub-subjects and combinations

Register every subject once, assign it to the class levels that take it, and (optionally) split a subject into sub-subjects with percentages.

Updated 06/10/2026

Admin Settings › Subjects Registration

1. Register subjects

Enter Subject Name (e.g. Mathematics), Subject Type (Core / Optional), Subject Report Name (how it prints on reports, e.g. “MATHEMATICS”) and Subject Short Name (e.g. MATH, used in narrow tables) → Submit. Click any name in the preview table to edit it.

2. Assign subjects to class levels

Either choose one class level and tick its subjects, or use Bulk Assign: tick many subjects and many classes, then Assign selected subjects to selected classes. In the preview, click a class under “Class Assigned” to remove that assignment.

A subject only appears in the results Excel of a class when it is assigned to that class level. If a teacher says “my subject is missing from the upload sheet”, this is where to fix it.

3. Sub-subjects (optional)

Admin Settings › Assign Sub Subjects: pick the class and the Main subject (e.g. Science), tick the sub-subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and set the contribution type — Percent each (e.g. 33.3%) or average. Teachers upload the sub-subjects; the main subject is calculated.

4. A-Level combinations & college programs

Admin Settings › A-Level Combinations — register PCM, PCB, HGL, EGM… Students are attached to a combination at registration. Colleges register Programs (number, name, short name, category, level) at Admin Settings › Programs.
