About FAMNET Schools
A Tanzanian school management platform by Famnet Services Limited, built with schools since 2017.
What we do
FAMNET Schools (schools.famnet.co.tz) gives primary, secondary and college institutions one web system for students, results processing, fees and accounting, messaging, timetable, e-learning and a parent portal. Schools keep their own data, print their own reports with their own header and logo, and message parents free on WhatsApp.
Why we built it
Results were being computed by hand at the end of every term, fee records lived in exercise books, and parents only heard from school when something was wrong. We wanted every parent to know how their child is doing this week — and to be able to act on it from a basic phone.
Where we are
Tens of thousands of students across Tanzania, with joint (mock) examinations for groups of schools, and schools joining from neighbouring countries. The platform is bilingual (English/Kiswahili) and works on any phone browser.

Payments on the platform are processed by licensed partners (ClickPesa for mobile money and bank collections; Beem for SMS).
